The Makris Group has just announced the signing of the iconic Sheraton Adelaide Hotel as the centre piece for the luxury residential, retail and hotel development at the long-vacant former Le Cornu site at O’Connell Street, North Adelaide.
Slated to open mid 2019, the Sheraton Adelaide will offer 160 modern guest rooms and two dining venues along with a range of leisure facilities, including a state-of-the-art fitness centre and indoor swimming pool. Business guests will enjoy a range of innovative work spaces and meeting rooms, including a 300-square-meter ballroom and a total of 700 square meters of function space, as well as an additional pre-function area.

Set to be an iconic development, 88 O’Connell Street includes the new Sheraton hotel and approximately 130 residential apartments, along with a diverse mix of retail stores and restaurants, all spread over eight buildings linked by a piazza and gardens. The development will bring a new and dynamic environment to locals and visitors alike, to work, play and recharge amongst the sophisticated surroundings of North Adelaide.
The development is scheduled to start construction by early 2017, to be completed in 2019.
