The Makris Group's plans for the long-vacant former Le Cornu site at O'Connell Street, North Adelaide, have received Major Project approval from the State Government. A $150 million retail and luxury residential apartment development is planned for the site.

The development plans include cafes, restaurants and shops on the ground and first levels, and is split by a village street with overhead walkways and two towers.

The site will feature  luxurious apartments ranging in size from around 120 square metres to 650 square metre penthouses with spectacular views of the city and foothills.
